I’m pretty much obsessed with ’50’s & ’60’s fashion. I feel like Kate Spade is as close as one can get to the classic yet whimsical style of the period. Plus her love of bows, stripes and gingham is something I hold very dear to my heart.
Having said that, I’m also on a budget. If I had the money, here are my picks:
I saw this dress in the window at Kate Spade over the weekend, and knew it was destined to be a Dress-tivus pick. What’s not to love? It’s a mikado fit and flare dress embellished with pearls. I know, I know, it’s perfection! It also comes in pink, but I like the black better because it really accentuates the pearls.
Hello! Welcome back, and if you’re joining me for the first time, Dress-tivus For the Rest of Us, is a 31 Day celebration of dresses to help inspire your wardrobe for any upcoming holiday parties, or just plain fun for anyone who loves dresses.
What can I say? I love tweed, ruffles, and bows, and this Kate Spade dress has ’em all! Look at those shoes, too? Nice touch. I’ve always been wary of wearing animal prints, but those shoes add just enough pop to this outfit. It’s very ’60s and I love it!
