Dress-tivus For the Rest of Us: Day 16

Hello, and Happy Saturday! It is Day 16 and we’re more than half way through with Dress-tivus. What’s Dress-tivus, you might ask? Just your favorite 31 day celebration of designer dresses that also serves as inspiration for your holiday party attire.

For today’s pick, I went with a sweater dress. I had to include at least one. This dress from Kate Spade ticks a lot of my favorite boxes. Shimmer, check. Pleats, check. Fun neckline, check! It’s basically an understated disco ball dress, which is a compliment in my book.

See you tomorrow!

Dress-tivus For the Rest of Us: Day 15

We did it guys! We got through another week. All of my holiday parties are over, and only 6 more days until my vacation! Things are looking up!

Week Three of Dress-tivus is now upon us, and to kick it off, I give you this off-the-shoulder floral lace dress by Carmen Marc Valvo. This is another ’50’s inspired dress that makes my heart happy, and makes me wonder why can’t all dresses be like this and at a modest price point? GAP, Banana, J.Crew, I’m talking to you! Make it happen!

Dress-tivus For the Rest of Us: Day 14

Guys, it’s Day 14 of Dress-tivus! Can you believe it? If you are loving Dress-tivus, the 31 day celebration of dresses and inspiration for your holiday party attire, as much as I am, go back and take a look at my picks from Week Two. If you can’t get enough, you can always go back and relive the magic of Week One.

I had to pick a velvet dress. It’s not the holidays without velvet. This Tibi velvet bias cut dress is so wonderfully ’90’s. This could very well be a photo of a fresh faced Gwyneth Paltrow from 1995. Am I right?

Heading into Week Three of Dress-tivus tomorrow! Thanks for indulging me!

Dress-tivus For the Rest of Us: Day 13

Hump Day! Now that the holiday parties are in full swing, I hope you’re enjoying yourselves, or if you are like me and socially awkward, tolerating them to the best of your ability.

Today’s Dress-tivus pick is from Alice & Olivia, and features two of my favorite things: the color green and lace. I love this dress! If you are looking for more sparkle, you can always dress it up with some fun jewelry, shoes, and/or a clutch.

Have a great day! The weekend is in sight!

Dress-tivus For the Rest of Us: Day 12

I saw this dress in the window at Kate Spade over the weekend, and knew it was destined to be a Dress-tivus pick. What’s not to love? It’s a mikado fit and flare dress embellished with pearls. I know, I know, it’s perfection! It also comes in pink, but I like the black better because it really accentuates the pearls.

Dress-tivus For the Rest of Us: Day 11

Ugh, Monday. Please be kind. 10 days until my vacation! Eye on the prize!

Happy Dress-tivus, everyone! Your favorite 31 day celebration of dresses and inspiration for your holiday party ensemble.

Today’s pick will definitely wake you up. This Alice & Olivia sequin dress makes my 6 year-old self so happy. I love rainbows, always have and always will! This dress just screams, “YAAAASSSSSS!”

Dress-tivus: Special Downton Abbey Edition

In honor of my trip to the Downton Abbey Exhibition here in NYC, I give you a special Dress-tivus post celebrating the fashion of Downton Abbey. If you loved the series, it was great to revisit all of the characters and the sets we all know and love. It made me want to go home binge the entire series all over again, which I may do over the Christmas break. However, I suggest going during the week to avoid the crowds. It was tough trying to maneuver around and have enough time at each station.

So many good memories here. . .enjoy!
